Welcome To Dry Fork Chins
Welcome to Dry Fork Chins. I am located in Callands, Virginia. My name is Stacey Sain. My children and I recently moved and I am in the process of changing our herd name to Double "S" Chinchillas. We now have 21 chinchillas that are raised by me and my 2 children.
How We Got Started
We saw our first chinchilla in a local pet store. After coming home and doing hours of research on the computer and deciding if a chinchilla was the right pet for our family we got our first chin from our local pet store. After months of enjoying our first chin we decided to expand. We now have 21 chinchillas. I wish we had gotten our first chin from a breeder but we have learned as we have grown.
This is me with Duchess and Lady Chatterly.
That is Wally, our cockatiel, on my shoulder. We lost Wally soon after our move. We really have missed him.

Our Chins

We have 21 chins at this time. We have Standards, Violets, Standard/VC's, Pink Whites, Ebonies, Beiges, and White Mosaics.  Some of our chins came from breeders such as Luv N' Chins, Carolina Chinchilla Connection, and JAGS.

Our Standards are Chi-Chi who is a rescue chin. We also have Merlin, Lucy, Mickey, Sophie, Mason, and Lightening.

We have two White Mosaics at this time. They are Lady Chatterly and Lacey.

Our Violets are Baxter, Violet, Victor, and Victoria.

Our 2 Standard/VC are Polly and Lance.

Our Ebonies are Monty who is our Homo Ebony and Lucky who is our Light Hetero Ebony.

Our Beiges are Pixie and Mindy.

Our Pink White is Andy.

We also have a White Ebony/TOV. His name is Felix.

Our Experience
We have been raising chins since 2002. No, we don't have the experience that most breeders do but our chins are loved and well taken care of. I also have the assistance of a wonderful breeder who is always there to help me. Everyone has to start somewhere.

I would like to give a special Thank You to JoAnn of Luv'N Chins for everything she has done for me and our chins. She is a wonderful person and breeder. THANK YOU!
